Super Flappy Golf Released Globally on iOS and Android

Streamplay Studio Limited (“Streamplay” or the “Company”) (ASX: SP8) is pleased to confirm the global release of Super Flappy Golf, the third instalment in the beloved Flappy Golf franchise, developed in-house by wholly owned subsidiary Noodlecake Studios Ltd (“Noodlecake”). This epic new title is now available worldwide via both the Google Play and Apple App Store marketplaces.

Reigniting a Franchise with Global Appeal

This isn’t just a game release – it’s a defining moment in Streamplay’s strategic roadmap. As the first internally developed title from Noodlecake since 2019’s Golf Blitz, Super Flappy Golf demonstrates the Company’s renewed focus on building durable, revenue-generating original IP.

It’s also the first major test of Streamplay’s post-acquisition model: a title where 100% of revenue is retained by the Group, and one that will contribute toward a portfolio of owned IP that generally makes up approximately 40-60% of Noodlecake’s total revenue.

Super Flappy Golf builds on the legacy of a franchise that has amassed over 17 million organic downloads across its earlier titles. Originating as a viral parody in the wake of Flappy Bird, the franchise quickly climbed mobile charts and became a classroom and campus favourite globally.

The third entry leverages modern mobile development tools to bring an upgraded experience to both casual players and competitive gamers, and marks Noodlecake’s shift to Unity – unlocking future expansion to new platforms beyond just mobile.

Ryan Holowaty, CEO of Noodlecake
"Super Flappy Golf is more than just a sequel. We listened to our fans and created something new to honour what they loved about the original, while adding fresh layers of gameplay, competition and creativity. It’s our most ambitious version of Flappy Golf yet – and one that we’re proud to share.

Building on Soft Launch Momentum

This marks a major commercial milestone for Noodlecake, following the game’s soft launch across Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the Philippines earlier this year (ASX: 20 February 2025), where first-party IP forms a significant and growing revenue contributor for the Company.

To date, Super Flappy Golf has achieved over 60,000 pre-orders and recorded approximately 28,000 installs across both storefronts, with early retention rates of ~46% on Day 1, ~25% by Day 7, and 10% by Day 28 – far surpassing industry expected benchmarks.

These results informed a suite of refinements ahead of its global release, including 2 months of additional feature development, aimed at maximising lifetime value and player satisfaction across key markets.

Key Features Driving Engagement

Noodlecake’s talented team of in-house game designers and developers have significantly expanded and polished Super Flappy Golf, with several new features now live for players worldwide to enjoy:

  • Real-time online multiplayer for up to 8 players;
  • Trait-based bird customisation for unique gameplay builds;
  • Daily quests, challenges, and achievement systems;
  • 30+ handcrafted courses and unlockable modes; and
  • New glide and dive mechanics enabling trick shots and skill-based progression.

These enhancements, combined with Noodlecake’s signature two-button control scheme, deliver an experience that is easy to pick up but challenging to master – bridging casual and competitive play while encouraging long-term engagement.

With over 30 exciting courses, hundreds of customisable birdie traits, and a variety of game modes – including the new Lowest Flaps challenge – the game offers significant replay value across both solo and multiplayer playstyles.

Continued Storefront Support and Visibility

In the lead-up to its global release, Super Flappy Golf was already featured as Apple’s “Game of the Day” on 18 May 2025 in Australia and New Zealand, and again on launch day in the United States, providing prominent App Store placement in these two key mobile gaming markets. The title was also regularly featured across other international storefronts – including the United States and Canada – as part of Apple’s global campaigns promoting pre-orders and installs, respectively.

Editorial selections of this kind are positive drivers of discoverability and user acquisition, particularly in mobile-first territories. The recognition by Apple highlights Noodlecake’s impressive track record of delivering polished, high-quality mobile titles with broad player appeal.

Bert Mondello, Chairman of Streamplay Studio
"This launch showcases much of what we’ve been working towards – a strong, original IP, developed and monetised in-house, with global reach and commercial upside. It validates the strategy behind our acquisition of Noodlecake, reflected by the positive early recognition the title has already received from storefronts and media alike.

We also see this as a springboard for broader investment into new IP development and selective acquisition opportunities – initiatives that will continue to expand Streamplay's original content portfolio and long-term growth potential.
"

Looking Ahead

With Super Flappy Golf now available globally, Noodlecake will shift focus to supporting the title through ongoing live operations and content updates, while exploring potential platform ports (e.g. consoles, pc, etc) and initiating early ideation and prototyping of its next owned-IP title.

These efforts aim to build on the momentum generated by the game’s early storefront visibility and media recognition, and form part of Streamplay’s broader strategy to scale its first-party portfolio and demonstrate the long-term value of its expanded studio footprint.
